Schweser Study Program project details:

The Big Picture:
Webteam and the Schweser Study Program have worked together for over 6 years. The original CFA website was created, the online store was added, and the online study program was live 6 months after site conception. Since it's launch there have been other standalone software products created by Webteam for the Schweser Study Program.

Online Store:
The online store that Webteam created for the Schweser Study Program includes many custom features. Users can use the e-commerce site to purchase products a la carte or in various packages. The online database connects to the in-house database and all products and much content is updateable and controlled by Schweser staff in the administrative tools of the web site. There are other custom features for international customers which are being expanded for the 2006 CFA program that involve multiple international distributors.

SchweserOnline and SchweserPro:
SchweserOnline and SchweserPro are online study programs that are created for people who were striving towards a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) degree. SchweserOnline was developed by Webteam and has 4 levels of quizzes and exams, which can be taken at any time. The top two levels of exams are available online, or the user may print out the exams and enter answers online at a later time. Completed tests can be reviewed online and performance can be compared to other users using a performance tracker. The user has tools such as bookmarks and notes to aid in study, and can check off areas once they are completed. SchweserOnline is in the process of being overhauled for 2006 and will now be renamed as SchweserPro, which will be offered online, as a standalone CD product, or available as a download. All SchweserPro products will be updateable via online sync, and offer many options for CFA students.

Kaplan CPA Review:
In 2004 Webteam took over management of the Kaplan CPA Review program, an online study program for those studying for the CPA exam. Content for this site is managed similar to the Schweser web site. Content is available for online study, complete with tests, feedback, and other products for the benefit of the CPA student. Administrative tools similar to the CFA site are available for management of the CPA website.

Administrative Tools:
As you can imagine, a website with all of the functions we have mentioned has a very customized administrative site. This admin site is password protected with an extensive permissions system. Tools in the admin site are used for making changes to user accounts, assigning products (and access) to users, editing material and test questions in the online program, adding products and product info to the website, custom page ‘updaters’ for areas of the site for Schweser employees to update easily, and much more.
