Organization Overview:
The Healthcare Billing and Management Association is the only trade association representing third-party medical billers in the nation. HBMA members process physician and other provider claims integral to the health care delivery system. They not only bill for medical services, but also frequently perform all of the physician's administrative functions. Three out of the four HBMA members are expanding their business to include accounts receivable management, consulting and practice management services.

Site Purpose:
Since HBMA is a national organization; the web site needed to be used as a tool for its members, as well as make operations easier for the agency that oversees daily operations of the HBMA. Webteam did a website redesign for HBMA in 2002, adding many custom programming features such as an e-commerce module, member tracking system for recording and custom reports, a system to prompt members to renew memberships, and administrative tools to make it easier to manage the website. Webteam has just completed a redesign for the website and added more features for a re-launch on 9/1/2005.

Member Benefits:
HBMA members have the ability to discuss issues with other members through a highly customized message board, register for conferences and online web casts through their online store, view and download published news articles, and purchase available HBMA products.

Administrative Benefits:
Site administrators have the ability to edit the majority of the web site via an administrative interface, download many custom reports as needed, and update memberships, making the web site an important integral part of daily HBMA operation.
